BioHack Academy (BHA) is a DIY biotechnology lecture program for citizens and makers. Waag Society, who run FabLab Amsterdam in Amsterdam, Holland, and manage several other programs, offer this DIY biotechnology lecture series. At these programs, in addition to lectures about biology and DIY biotechnology, participants practicing DIY making equipment necessary for biolabs, discuss the culturalization of biotechnology, and get the chance to interact with and experience the forefront of DIY biotechnology. At BioClub, every year lectures are held as the Tokyo lecture hub. In 2018, they were held for a period of around 10 weeks between January and April.

From July 30th, 2018, an achievements exhibiton was held at the entrance of FabCafe in Shibuya showing the individual projects of the members who attended BHA.
