In this talk, Dominique will go over past projects which have involved a combination of art and science and discuss the ways in which the two are interconnected. It will explore themes of natural history illustration, exhibition design, wildlife filmmaking, creature design and some insect science! And a live creature design art demonstration based on real science.
About Dominique
Dominique is a freelance artist and designer with an academic background in biology. She uses her understanding and love of nature to produce illustrations of both real organisms and creatures which do not exist. She has worked on museum installations, illustrated books and board games and is editor of the Royal Entomological Society’s insect science magazine for children.
